Case for Support

Fuel Innovation That Puts People First.

Support Responsible Innovation Programs

AI Literacy, Public Interest Technology, and Rapid Prototypes with Ethical AI.

The Responsible Innovation Lab is building a future where emerging technologies — especially AI — serve people, communities, and the planet. Your support turns that vision into real programs, real students, and real impact.

Your Gift, Your Impact

Every contribution helps us:

  • Launch AI literacy and SDG-focused learning cohorts.
  • Rapid Prototypes with Ethical AI
  • Support students and community partners working on real-world projects.
  • Build tools, curricula, and public resources that anyone can use.
  • Public Interest Technology Tracks and applications for people and organizations.
  • Help expand our SDG Campus Educational Program

Innovation is happening either way. Your gift helps make sure it’s responsible.

Why the Responsible Innovation Lab Exists

The Responsible Innovation Lab (RIL) is a nonprofit research and education collective dedicated to advancing ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible innovation. We design hands-on learning experiences that help people use AI and other emerging technologies in service of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We work with students, mid-career professionals, community organizations, and mission-driven teams to explore a simple question: What does it look like to innovate with integrity?

From AI literacy to food systems, climate stories, and civic tech, our projects connect big ideas to real-world experiments in classrooms, communities, and workplaces.

What Your Support Makes Possible

Your gift doesn’t just fund a program — it fuels a network of learners, educators, and community partners building more responsible futures in their own contexts.

Student-Centered Labs

Support cohort-based labs where students tackle real problems with real partners — from AI literacy and media analysis to food systems, climate resilience, and public-interest tech.

AI Literacy & SDG Programs

Underwrite accessible micro-certificates, workshops, and mentoring that help learners use AI responsibly while aligning their work with global goals like education, equity, and climate action.

Public Interest Technology & Rapid Prototypes

Help us design and test human-centered tools — like chatbots for food and housing access — that make essential information easier to find and use in everyday life.

Shared Tools & Public Resources

Keep open-access curricula, case studies, and playbooks updated and free for educators, organizers, and mission-driven teams who want to adapt our models in their own communities.

How Your Gift Helps Support Responsible Innovation in Practice

Every contribution is meaningful. Here’s how your support moves the work forward:

$25–$100

Helps underwrite tools, licenses, and hosting for our learning platforms, keeping resources live and up to date for students and community partners.

$250–$500

Supports a learner or educator through an AI literacy or SDG-focused micro-certificate, including coaching, materials, and implementation support.

$1,000+

Helps launch or sustain a full cohort, pilot project, or community partnership under the Responsible Innovation Lab umbrella.

Custom Support

Want to sponsor a cohort, co-design a program for your organization, or underwrite a specific initiative? Let’s talk about what’s possible.
